The road to health, fitness and overall wellness can be a most confusing and frustrating journey. But it is one that we all must embark on and continue through our life time. There is a vast amount of conflicting information out there from the internet, to magazines, to books or from the guy sitting next to you on the bike at the gym. Just for kicks I did a simple search on the internet with Google? using the following words: ?wellness,? ?fitness,? ?health? and ?health life style.? The word ?wellness? netted me 36,900,000 results. ?Fitness? came up with 95,300,000 results. ?Health? netted me another 498,000,000 results and ?health life style? another 4,470,000. So how does a person go about starting to improve their health? Well, you better get reading?just kidding! One simple answer would be to just ask me or use that e-mail address at the bottom of the page! In addition to managing musculoskeletal injuries and pain, I am just as interested in preventing injury and illness. The best way to start ?preventing? is to clean up your life style. Start but eating a health balance diet and supplement it with vitamins and minerals. Drink water! Start by drinking at least eight 12 ounce glasses per day. Next get up off the couch and exercise. Government studies have indicated that we exercise at least 60 minutes a day! And for those of you that have lost weight and want to keep it off, you need to do 90 minutes per day! I know all this sounds nice, but how to you know what to do or how to start. Drum roll please? That is where I come in. I am happy to help patients along and their wellness journey any way I can. Just shoot me an e-mail or mention it on your next visit. I look forward to hearing from you all soon.
